A guide company started by guides, not by a booking algorithm.
Egypt Tour Masters began in 2011 with three Egyptologists, one van, and a shared frustration: every itinerary a foreign operator sold felt written by someone who’d never actually stood in the Sphinx enclosure at seven in the morning, or argued good-naturedly with a felucca captain about the wind. We started running trips the way we’d want to take them ourselves — fewer stops, better hours, and a guide who stays with you the whole way instead of handing you off at the airport.
What changed over fourteen years wasn’t the philosophy — it was the reach. We now run journeys across five regions, from the Giza plateau to the Red Sea coast, each one still built by someone who has actually done the walk, sailed the stretch of river, or eaten at the table we’re recommending. The company grew; the way we plan a Tuesday morning at Karnak did not.
We’re not the biggest operator in Egypt, and we’re not trying to be. We’re trying to be the one you’d tell a friend about — the trip that made a country you’d never seen feel, by day three, like somewhere you already half-belonged.
