Best Time to Visit
October through April keeps daytime heat manageable across the Nile Valley and the desert; June through August is for Red Sea heat, not temple-hopping.
Visa & Entry
Most nationalities can get a visa on arrival at the airport, or apply online in advance for a slightly smoother queue — either way, keep a passport photo and printed confirmation handy.
Currency & Payments
The Egyptian pound is the only currency used outside hotels and major resorts; cards work in cities, but cash is still king at markets and for tipping.
What to Wear
Light, breathable layers that cover shoulders and knees travel best — especially inside mosques, temples, and anywhere outside a resort pool.
Getting Around
Private transfers and drivers are how most of our guests move between sites; Cairo traffic makes anything else more stressful than it needs to be.
Local Customs & Tipping
Tipping (baksheesh) is expected almost everywhere — guides, drivers, and hotel staff all factor it into how they're paid, so budgeting a little extra goes a long way.
